I'm a self-taught developer from Scotland 🏴. For the past couple of years, I've been building GRID in secret, fueled by a simple frustration: modern development is too fragmented.
To build anything substantial today, you need to glue together a dozen different services—one for hosting, one for secrets, another for AI, a different one for team management. I wanted to stop tab-switching and start shipping.
The Problem
Existing IDEs are great text editors, but terrible platforms. You have to leave the editor to manage your database, check your deployment status, or pay your team. The "flow" is broken constantly.
The Solution
GRID unifies the entire lifecycle. It's not just an editor; it's a control plane. Access your dashboard, manage secrets, and deploy infrastructure without ever losing focus.
Why "In Secret"?
I didn't want to release another half-baked wrapper. I wanted to build something that could genuinely replace the tools I use every day. That meant keeping my head down, ignoring the hype cycles, and focusing purely on engineering a better experience.
