1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the GRID Editor website and software services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the services.
2. License to Use
Software (Client): The GRID Editor client software differs in licensing by component. The open-source core is licensed under the MIT License. Proprietary extensions included in the official binary are licensed for use only in conjunction with GRID Services.
Services (AI & Cloud): We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use our AI and Cloud services subject to your plan limits and these Terms.
3. Community Tier Usage
The GRID Community tier (free tier) is licensed for non-commercial, personal, and educational use only. This includes:
- Personal side projects and learning
- Educational and academic purposes
- Open source contributions (non-commercial)
- Hobbyist and non-profit activities
Commercial use is prohibited under the Community tier. Commercial use includes, but is not limited to:
- Using GRID to develop software or services that generate revenue
- Using GRID within a for-profit company or organization
- Using GRID to provide paid services to clients
- Any use that directly or indirectly generates income
If you are using GRID for commercial purposes, you must subscribe to a Teams or Enterprise plan. Violation of this restriction may result in account termination and legal action.
4. Accounts
When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of GRID Editor and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United Kingdom and international jurisdictions.
6. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
7. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall GRID Editor, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
8. Changes
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. We accept payments worldwide via Stripe.
