Installation

1

Automatic (Recommended)

Open your Unreal project in GRID IDE
GRID detects the .uproject file and prompts to install the plugin
Click "Install" - the plugin is installed to your Unreal Engine
Open your project in Unreal Editor - plugin loads automatically
GRID connects when you switch back - you can now vibe code!
2

Marketplace

Coming Soon

Get the GRID IDE Bridge from the Unreal Marketplace and enable it in the Plugins menu.

How It Works

1
The GRID plugin starts a TCP server when Unreal Editor opens
2
It writes the connection port to a file that GRID IDE can find
3
GRID IDE automatically connects when you have both open
4
AI commands are sent from GRID to the plugin in real-time
5
The plugin executes actions in the Unreal Editor

Compatibility

Unreal Engine:Any version (5.0+, 5.1+, 5.2+, 5.3+, 5.4+, 5.5+)
Platforms:Windows, macOS, Linux
Requires:GRID IDE (the plugin does nothing without it)
